Some Advice To Potential Landlords

A note:

If you are advertising a 1 bedroom or studio apartment and your ad contains the phrase, "share bathroom and/or kitchen with landlord" or "The bath is essentially private" (Essentially? WTF?) or "No kitchen".....

What you are renting is not an apartment. Not a studio apartment; definitely not a 1 bedroom.Stop trying to posh that shit up so that you can jack up the rental price.

Oh and while I'm here, if you require a picture from everyone who writes to ask about your available space, that is a creepy move (Not sure if this means anything but up to now it seems the only people who do this are guys).

I've just stumbled on a TV show called The Comeback that's being shown on The Sundance Channel (I think it might be an HBO show?). It's a mockumentary about Valerie Cherish a (what else?) the comeback of a 1990s TV star. After being famous from being the "cute young thing" in the 90s, she finds herself cast as apartment owner/aunt/roommate of a bunch of "cute young things" in 2005.

I think it's a stroke of genius casting Lisa Kudrow (late of Friends)as Cherish. It's a sly wink to all of of those actors who faces were almost as familiar as our own and a year later we can't even spell their name (right Poppin' Fresh?).

I've got to find out more about this show!
