WTF Mad Men, WTF.
I hated the Don Draper they showed us in this episode. The sensitive, touch feely Don gives me the creeps. Writing in a journal questioning his drinking??!! Where's chain smoking, booze swilling, skirt chasing Don? I want him back.
I wanted to see him shove his hand up that cock tease Bethany's skirt like he did to that comedian's wife a couple of season's ago. I wanted to see him be the Doctor's grudge fuck. I feel strangely let down. This is the first episode of that show I've seen that I can say truly disappointed and bewildered me.
This had better be temporary or I will not be happy.
In other news Betty Draper-Francis is a child, a petulant, spoiled child. What 34 year old woman sulks and pouts like that? It's nice that herDaddy husband Henry was there to tell her what to do,("you are not allowed to say that", nice Henry, real nice). I guess he's starting to catch on that he's going to pay a higher price then he thought for his pretty blonde, political wife and his ready mad,e photo ready family. A child-bride, her troubled daughter and a couple of boys who don't even have his name.
It was funny watching Betty handing Gene off. First she went running back toDaddy husband Henry with a big smile as if she were saying, "See, Daddy, didn't I do a good job?" Henry should have patted her on the head and gave her gold star. Afterward, though, did you see her eyeing Don up. Having seen both Henry and Don shirtless this week, we can guess whose body Betty thinks about when she rides her dryer (wonder why she didn't show Sally *that* little trick).
And isn't Henry a passive aggressive fuck? He doesn't have the balls to say, "Don I pay my rent, please get your stuff out of the garage". Instead he has to crush the stuff with his car and then tell some bullshit lie about buying a boat. And then he *makes sure* that Don knows he's not welcome at his own kid's birthday party. He's a douche nozzle, always was.
You don't know how thrilled I was to see Don walking in like he owned the place (oh wait, he does), complete a with stuffed animal for Gene. That's the Don Draper I want to see, big balled, arrogant, "I own the world" Don Draper. That's who they better bring back for the rest of this season.
