Pink Flamingos and Guys with No Socks

I've seen several ads for the new Miami Vice movie. I am so hoping that film doesn't suck. I really want to like it. (and no, not because I'd like to be the filling in a Jamie Foxx/Colin Farrell Sandwich.) This is a TV show that I associate with my early 20s. I went on more then one date where the guy wore a pastel T shirt and no socks. What can I say, it was the fashion.

Michael Mann at the helm of this should be a good thing since he created the mood of the original but we'll see. If it *does* suck, I'm going to have to cut someone.
