I'm a whore for a big hardrive and roooom to expand. The specs I'm looking for is at least a 1tb hd (1.5 or 2 would be even nicer) and 4-6 gigs ram with the ability to kick it up to 8 gigs.
I also want a quad core processor, discreet video card and a bus speed of at 2-3Ghtz.
This is why I don't think I'm going to find the computer I want at the price point I'm willing to pay, hence pondering whether I still have the chops to build my own PC.
