It Is FInished

Although, technically, there are 2 hours and 17 minutes left in the month of NaNoWriMo, I'm done. No, I didn't get my 50,000 words and for that, for several weeks at least, I will feel like a bit of a failure; but that will pass
On the other hand, although I didn't make the word count (the letter of the law, so to speak), I do have a rough (okay *very* rough) first draft of a novel I'd had in my mind for some 15 years (the spirit of the law. NaNoWriMo is all about the writing of the Great American Novel, after all.)
I have a few pages of thing I need to research for the book; some of it is a quick one off and some of it is more substantial. I've got a week off between after Christmas so hopefully I can get some of it done in between social butterflying.
I also figured out that the reason I haven't gotten any comments win three weeks wasn't because all of you kind and supportive people were giving me space to write but because I had a post dated entry which prevented you all from seeing my posts from the no man's land. Ooops.
Don't be alarmed to see a bunch of posts from me pop up suddenly. If you *want* to read them all, or course you can just click on some link somewhere on this page and it should pop you into my journal.
I'll ruminate more on NaNoWriMo in the near future but for now it's nice to be back.
