Writer's Block: Young and driven

It's 21 but I think it should be lower and phased in like driving is. 12-18 beer and wine, 18 or 19+ all alcohol. I also think that you should be able to serve your child (and your child alone) in your own home.
I think one of the problems with alcohol consumption is that (a) we make people wait so long that it becomes a much bigger deal than it needs to be and (b)People are still in their early years of driving when alcohol gets added to the mix. I'm positing here that if young people are better acclimated to alcohol *before* they begin driving, then maybe they will be better able to make wise choices vis a vis drinking and driving.
