Delius: On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring

I've seen bright cardinals and contentious blue jays. A few young robin red breasts. Sparrows and doves and some little yellow fellow who may have stopped off on his way back home. Small bunny came out Easter morning to graze in the yard. Even old groundhog is back, not as fat and sleek as he was in late fall but plump nonetheless. The trees are blooming and the bushes in front of my picture window are greening up.

My yard looks like a Disney movie.
