cinema_babeEven though much of life is in shades of grey, one of the nice things about a lot of these old films (I watched Johnny Belinda on TCM earlier) is that you know who the bad guy is and you don;'t feel conflicted about hissing and booing. And the bad guy in this movie is one black-hearted SOB.
(Good God, I forgot how moving the scene where Belinda signs the Lord's Prayer is.)
