So was Kobe beef as awesome as everyone says it is?

Truth in advertising, what I actually had was Wagyu beef which is the same cow only it comes from TX and they raise it with a diet and regimen close to what they use in Japan.

And yes, oh god yes.

The fat is distributed all through the meat, as opposed to being in little chunks. That means that when you hit the sweet spot temperature of about medium, medium, rare, the fat melts and gives the meat an unctuous mouthfeel and spreads a big beefy flavor all throughout the steak.

Heh, Nice icon!

I was actually surprised to find I have eaten things that you have not.

But why would you not try Fresh wild berries? O.i

I'm allergic to most berries; what I call the seedy ones: strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and the like. They render me quite red and splochy.

Oh, quite a good reason then!

How about blueberries, boysenberries, elderberries, and the like? With all those nice internal seeds?

Not boysenberries, they're a raspberry hybrid, I like blueberries in baked goods and I've had elderberry wine but I don't think it was very good.

Do you avoid all pork? I'm trying to come up with plausible reasons for avoiding huevos rancheros. Combined with andouille (could be nix on sausages) and eggs benedict (could be many thhings), pork is what I'm coming up with. All three of those are quite good, by the way.

Hmm. You've had pork buns. So what could be objectionable about huevos rancheros?

I'm not that fond of tomato sauce (except in certain dishes) but the main
reason.....

I loathe eggs.

(Actually, that's only mostly true. There's one way I'll eat eggs and it's so gross and overcooked that I won't eat them in front of another human being. Oh yeah, I drink egg nog too, but if I think about what it is I will and have thrown up. It's a consistency thing.)

Ditto with eggs benedict. Andouille is *way* too spicy and salty for my tastes.

As a general rule I *love* pork. Pigs tremble with fear if they hear I'm in the vicinity. :P
