Geese and Ganders Part II
Feb. 12th, 2012 04:09 amSo I asked folks to weigh in on which gender is better at hiding it when they are cheating on a partner. The responses I got were interesting. The whole topic came up in a conversation I was having on another site and this is how I responded to that question:
Who's better at it? Women.
Why?
1. I've asked married men who cheat how they would feel if their wife were making arrangements to blow some stranger in his or her car. I am amazed how often they respond with vehemence that she would *never* do that. Newsflash! If she ain't fucking you, it doesn't always mean that she's not having sex *someone*.
2. In most families, women have the brunt of the clean up chores around the house. Undies a little soiled, sheets have a few stains, car smells like splooge? Guess who is usually responsible for cleaning up the mess? If she's cleaning it up, that means that she's getting rid of the evidence and her husband/boyfriend has no idea there's even evidence to get rid of.
3. Women keep their mouth shut. Guys either cheat in full view of others (think strip clubs and bachelor parties) or if they are high enough on the corporate food chain their admin or the receptionist or someone is taking his messages, seeing him with his GF, etc. Women don't tell anyone, not even their other girlfriends. Someone might be suspicious but a woman will deny it until she gets caught with her lover's balls deep inside of her.
4. Women will approach an affair in a neater more discreet way than men. Just look at the men on [big famous sex site]. I've had men give me cell phone numbers, real names, hotel information, I was once approached by my pharmacist (I knew it was him because while he cut his head off, the pic he used was taken in the pharmacy and he was wearing his pharmacist's coat. He did not know he was writing to me, though). Another guy I recognized from my town took his picture with his pants pulled down to his knees and his shirt pulled up over his belly button, He was standing in what I'm pretty sure was his living room complete with a nice clear shot of his kid's picture on the mantle in back of him. Considering he told me what town he lived in, all I had to do was hang around a school and I could have made his life uncomfortable. A lot of men just get dumb and sloppy when they are horny.
I'm not implying that some women don't get caught, of course they do. However, I also think that most of the time when a woman gets caught it's because somewhere inside she really wants to shake up or end her main relationship.
