cinema_babe | "Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho" or "Hey, what's that burning smell???"

For those who don't know, I and my ex still share an abode (actually it's closer to "I get to rent my own bedroom instead of sleeping the car" Oh yeah, I get bathroom privileges too yippee!). It's a function of the economics of being me being a full time student when we split up. It's not as icky as it could be, we do get along okay for 2 people who couldn't be married but we also don't spend much time together.

All that being said, getting a new place to live has been on my list of things to do but I had to get a job that paid me more than what I was making at the computer lab.

Be careful what you wish for.

I got an offer to do a short consulting gig yesterday, they wanted me to start today. I did. I can do this, it's what I did before but it's still a bit scary. I spent a good part of the day feeling like the word "Impostor" was tattooed on my left cheek. (Good God man, get your mind out of the gutter! LOL!)

I will do fine, it's just first day jitters.

In other news.....

Slack that I am, I've blown off talking about the Oscars and it's pretty much too late now.

I found that they have a weekly Board Game Night on Tuesdays at the barnes and Noble at Menlo Park Mall. While not quite as homey as the monthly Game Nights, it's fun and I have to interact with people; the group is too small for me to hide under the table. I'm going to try to go when I have the chance.

Grad school apps are in and now I wait.
