Week Two is almost done, how are your favorite bands doing?

The second round of bart_calendar's Rock And Roll March Madness is still open for voting but time is running out, there's only about 12 hours left for us in on the East Coast of the US. Some of the contests are *close* and you might be the vote to push your favorite band over the top.

A reminder, this works lot like the ubiquitous NCAA Big Dance brackets but this is *free* to play and there categories that will appeal to fans of Punk, Classic Rock, Metal and other types of music as well. And the commentary is pretty witty and amusing too.

Will The Ramones beat back the grungy assault of Nirvana?
Will The Rolling Stones roll all over Jimi Hendrix in their brawl?
Will Joan Jett blast Garbage out of this competion?
And just how tough is Iron Maiden?

The results so far are interesting.

Bangles/Go Gos could break either way - and I'm still not confident on how Sex Pistols/Depeche Mode and Nirvana/Ramones are going to break in late voting.

And there are a lot of weird results. I can not believe that Queen is completely wiping out Zep.

I also had no idea that Queen had anywhere near this much support.

I think the best battle of next week is going to be Beatles/Who.

i much prefer Queen to Led Zep (let the stoning commence).

also, perhaps some Queen votes arent pro-Queen but anti-Zep? i know my Ramones vote was mostly an anti-Nirvana one (cant stand Nirvana).

I might actually agree with this. I *love* Queen and probably would have voted for them anyway but I *loathe* Led Zepplin with the hate of 10,000 suns and would vote for Joe Jackson for Father of the Year before I would vote for them to win anything.

But that's just me ;)
