I've been writing a great deal and began work tonight on something that is not quite as grand as The Great American Novel but it will give me a great deal of satisfaction.
I don't believe in karma. If there was such thing as karma, Stalin and Pol Pot would have been crib deaths and both of the Jims in my life (my daddy and my #1 guy) would have lived to be old men. I think that shit happens; sometimes good shit, sometimes bad shit. Shit happens and the real story is what you do about it; what you learn from it; how you handle it; how it changes you. Correction: How you let it change you. The shit we live through is all about the opportunities we create from it.
The shit we live through leaves gifts. Sometimes the gifts are buried under bubbles other times they're buried under a pile of manure. I don't mind the bad days so much because it's what I have to do to get through the manure and find another present my time with Jimmy left behind.
Yup, I'm in one of those moods.
